Paul Hecker & Hamish Guthrie are Interior Designers with a strong architectural sensibility. With more than twenty years experience in the design industry, both Directors have worked with major architectural practices prior to establishing Hecker Phelan in 1999 and with the appointment of Hamish Guthrie as Director in 2002, Hecker Phelan & Guthrie was formed.

HP&G can boast an impressive list of Clients, and an equally laudable body of work for which the firm has been awarded and widely published. The company portfolio is a combination of Hospitality, Residential, Retail and Commercial fit outs, both in Australia and abroad.

To a large degree the company’s success can be attributed to the specific combination of personalities and complementary talents of both partners. They admire each others work, trust implicitly in each other’s talents and while they each bring their own references, they both adhere to the principle of creating beautiful, timeless interior spaces.
